How it started… • After II world war out of necessity to pursue “peace based upon justice and international cooperation”. • Today state of peace is full of contrasts – the need to deepen peace building in order to transform the conflicts, prevent future escalation and deepen understanding and practice of peace.
What is Peace? • Peace is more then the absence of war. • Justice, Dignity, Human rights protection, Democracy. • Peace inside of societies.
The role of young people • Directly concerned. • Violence and discrimination on daily basis. • Their voice is not heard enough.

Youth Peace Ambassadors Aim: • to empower young people to engage in conflict transformation and dialogue processes through Youth work and human rights education and promote the values of the Council of Europe in conflict affected areas.
