Analysis of noise runs

Analysis of noise runs. Francesca Dordei. Data sample. Noise runs taken last week before the new THR scan at 100Hz noise. Rates: Periodic 11kHz, 6kHz acquired with about 60% dead time. Analysis of all the acquisition links (chamber to the TELL1 ) revealed a number of problems.

  1. Analysisof noise runs Francesca Dordei

  2. Data sample • Noise runs taken last week before the new THR scan at 100Hz noise. • Rates: Periodic 11kHz, 6kHz acquired with about 60% dead time. • Analysis of all the acquisition links (chamber to the TELL1 ) revealed a numberofproblems

  3. Status beforedebugging Q3M1R4_1+2 Q2M4R4

  4. Problemlist (1) • ODE with bad recipe: • Q4M1R1_1: no data, BAD ODE recipe (11AUG09) • Q4M1R1_2: no data, BAD ODE recipe (11AUG09) • Q4M1R2_2: no data, BAD ODE recipe (11AUG09) • Q4M1R2_3: no data, BAD ODE recipe (11AUG09) - ODE recipe changed with the correct CT setting • Q4M1R3_2: not empty, ODE recipe ok - the ODE recipe saved after the timing test was wrong, timing test must be redone; ODE physics recipe deleted • Communication (reading) with TTCrx sometimes is wrong: • Q4M2R2_1: noisy channels (20-40, 70-130), ODE recipe ok • Q4M2R2_2: noisy channels (0-130), ODE recipe ok - A TTCrx debug must be done

  5. Problemlist (2) • The following tell opt links have been enabled into the recipe: A side - mutella_M1Q2 link7 - mutella_M2Q2 link18 - mutella_M2Q1 link18 C side - mutellc_M1Q3 link18 - mutellc_M1Q4 link0 link1 link7 link8 link13 - mutellc_M2Q3 link6 link18 - mutellc_M2Q4 link6 link18 After this work 7 ODE that shows no data into the PAD MAP start works.

  6. Problemlist (3) • 4 ODE with opt link disabled (if enabled goes in error until the ODE starts (after L0reset)) -Q2M4R4_1:no data, ODE recipe ok. - the link14 of mutella02 (_M4Q12) disabled -Q3M1R4_2: no data, ODE recipe ok. - the link19 of mutellc07 (_M1Q3) disabled -Q4M1R3_1: no data, ODE recipe ok. - the link12 of mutellc06 (_M1Q4) disabled - Q4M5R1_1: no data, ODE recipe ok. - the link0 of mutellc01 (_M5Q34) disabled. This 4 ODE havebeenchanged and the respectivetell1 link havebeen enabled into the recipe .

  7. Problemlist (4) • 2 Service Board replaced: • Q2M4R4 SB19 replaced because of problems on ELMB1. Firmware upgraded. • Q2M1A SB14 replaced after the THR scan and after 3 power cycles because of problems on ELMB0. Firmware upgraded.

  8. Run 57687: Data sample • Noise runs taken on Friday with a new recipe after Davide’s partial THR scan: PHYSICS_100Hz_thscan2 • 100Hz noise everywhere. • Rates: Periodic 11kHz, 7kHz acquired with about 50% dead time.

  9. Run plot M3C missing

  10. Summary • M3cismissing due to mutellc_m3q34 problems: allopticallinks in errorexcept 18. Webelieveis due to Richard’s TFC test outgoingduring the run. • There are still some noisyregions ( ex. Q4M1R3_2 ). • We start with 18 ODE thatdidn’t work and nowthey are allrepaired • The apparatusisnowreadyfor the CosmicRunexpectedthis week: thiswillallowusto solve problemrelatedwithnoisychannels. • Next week isexpected a PDM Runwherewewill test the linksbetweenthe ODE and the L0trigger
