PEA Algorithm • Assess responsiveness • Assess airway, breathing and circulation status • If absent initiate CPR • Intubate and initiate IV lines • Consider causes (5H’s and 5 T’s) • If unsuccessful administer: • Epinephrine 1 mg q 3-5 minutes or Vasopressin 40U IV/IO to replace first or second dose of Epinephrine • Atropine (if absolute bradycardia) 1 mg q 3-5 minutes
