  2. You hear a song that you like. • You don’t know the artist’s name. • You don’t know the title of the song.

  3. Call 1800-what’s my song • Hold your cell phone near audio source for about 50 seconds. • Hang up • Receive a message within the next 10 minutes with all the song’s info.

  4. Server contains a large database of songs. • Users add songs not already in the database.

  5. the algorithm generates a unique fingerprint. • If server finds a match. Song info is returned.

  6. Algorithm to acoustically fingerprint songs is used. • Reliable Acoustic fingerprints are forensic in their accuracy.

  7. Alternatively, you can: • Record the song on your cell phone. • Transfer it to your computer • Go to: www.1800whatsmysong.com • Upload it • Get a message on your cell phone with song’s info.
