Examines case specific performance on 7 safety, permanency, and well-being outcomes and 23 associated performance items.

4. Safety GoalsDefined Safety #1: Children are, first and foremost, protected from abuse and neglect.
Safety #2: Children are safely maintained in their homes whenever possible and appropriate.
5. Safety #1:Item 1: Timeliness of Initiating investigations of reports of child maltreatment Defined: Agency initiated a response IAW state policy; face-to-face contact with alleged victim IAW state policy.
