  2. Your Talent Supply Chain is Only as Good as Your Weakest Link If you shared your Source of Hire data with colleagues in operations or finance, how believable would you be? WHAT do you measure? HOW do you measure it?

  3. How do you collect Source-of-hire data? (Check all that apply) about 6% just “guess”

  8. What best describes your situation for how you hire contingent and part/time workers?

  9. Contingent (continued) • - Recruitment is responsible for PT and Project hires, client area manages contingent and contract hires through contracts managed by our procurement department and we are not involved with that unless we convert that labor to a regular or PT hire (salaried and admin only) • - We have dedicated sourcers targeting specific areas where the vendor struggles. Otherwise, we stay out of this area as much as possible • - All contingent labor managed through our vendor • - Our field managers directly hire contractors and per diems, recruitment offers some but limited support for contractors. • Our in-house recruiters fill company part-time positions; however, for hourly and professional contractors/contingent workers we have several vendors including a wide selection of diverse suppliers. • Internal TA employees work with contracted vendors. Database is separate from ATS. • We are not responsible for this area but help out when needed.

  10. Are you Outsourcing all or part of your Recruitment Process? RPO is still in its early stages • Some of our craft hires are outsourced. • We outsource Research/Sourcing only for select Sr. positions • We plan to outsource hires in 2008. • - We are evaluating whether RPO makes sense for any segments of our organization. • One division has an RPO arrangement in place currently • We use a firm to assist with high-volume Retail

  19. 2007 Direct Sourcing = 28.2% What is your approach to Direct Sourcing? Mining Internal Databases Mining External Databases Research, Cold Calling, etc.

  20. Do you have a separate group of Sourcers? Yes 42.0% No 58.0% • - We have contracted with third party vendors and contract recruiters • - We have only x dedicated professional FT sourcers • - We attempted to use the major sourcing company, but this was not as successful. • - Plans for 2008 include the development of a sourcing group. • Division specific.

  21. DIRECT SOURCING Comments Sourcing is still evolving - Currently our ATS search algorithm is unreliable and ineffective and we have shifted our internal database from being a first choice in direct sourcing to second choice behind purchased databases. - We prefer Email marketing to targeted lists. - Direct sourcing efforts aren't specifically tracked. - Company tends to rely on vendors for cold calling due to its conservative position on the practice. - In limited cases we have partnered with third-party vendors to provide sourcing support - We have a dedicated sourcing that supports corporate roles. - Networking, referrals from hiring managers are followed up as a priority.

  22. What % of your college graduate hires are NOT directly hired from college campuses. 2007 College= 5.6%

  23. What is “ALL OTHER”? A large “Don’t Know” destroys credibility • - None (5) • - Most of them we don't know. (10) • - Coop, Intern hires not in source data; • 878 hires did not indicate source of hire within (ATS) • 920 hires indicated "other" as source within (ATS) • Remainder of hires are unknown.  • Radio, TV, Other non-print media, professional Associations, • Community Associations  • - Targeted email campaigns • – Outplacement • Candidates that were migrated from our old ATS.  • Unknown. we have limited tracking • Professional Associations • Unfortunately our “Other” group is very large because a response is required in the drop down so a large number of people choose this response Require “other” to be explained not just identified The field must be filled to close the file

  24. DIVERSITY hiring: How productive are each of the following sources for diversity hiring?

  25. Since AJB has folded, How do you meet your Affirmative Action commitment to post local openings to local employment offices? Each recruiter 2.1% Internal Admin 10.6% Direct Employers 44.7% Other 19.1% We don’t 23.4% • OTHER • - AJE (5) • - Our ATS vendor exports the data to the American Job Exchange • Our posting partner posts to multiple sites • . We are investigating a solution
