What is a Heat Exchanger? • Heat exchangers are devices that provide the flow of thermal energy between two or more fluids at different temperatures. • Functions • Heat a cooler fluid by means of a hotter fluid. • Reduce the temperature of a hot fluid by means of a cooler fluid.

Reasons • The reason that most educational institutions can’t afford to purchase this type of equipment is because of the financial situation • Due to the recession most educational institutions are being subjected to budget cuts
