  2. WHAT IS CBL’S LINEAR HEAT DETECTION • Temperature detection in the form of a continuous cable. • A sealed cable structure and high temperature resolution enables early fire detection, even in areas with a high accumulation of dirt, fog, ice and vibration. • Mechanically allows installation at point of risk.

  3. LIST SENSOR CABLE • An early warning temperature detector. • For applications where ,due to critical environmental conditions, conventional detectors can only be implemented to a limited extent or not at all. • An intelligent hybrid censoring cable that can pinpoint to the meter where the temperature variations have occurred. • The cable operating temperature is – 40°C to + 85°C range (for short periods +200°C) with a temperature resolution of 0.1°.

  4. DETECTION • Differential detection. • Absolute alarm detection. • Low temperature detection. • Grouping of sensors into zones by programming • Independent thresholds for each zone (resolution 0.1°) • Registration of the max. differential temperature per zone

  5. LIST SENSOR CABLE SYSTEM • The list system can be installed in conjunction with a conventional fire system. • Highly sensitive external sensors can be added. • List system is a temperature measuring and fire detection system based on a sensor cable, which measures temperature along its length, up to 2.5km with a high resolution, thus enabling sensitive and reliable monitoring under harsh environmental conditions. • Application examples are illustrated.

  6. TUNNELS • Road, Subways, Railways. • Maintenance free system • Insensitive to exhaust fumes, salts, humidity and vibration. • Exact location of fire. • Easy installation in new and existing tunnels. • Monitoring of connection tunnels.

  7. RAILWAY HANGERS • Railway,sub-way and bus marshalling yards. • Insensitive to weather influences. • Easy installation. • Maintenance free system. • Exact localisation of fires. • Adjustable alarm thresholds.

  8. POWER STATIONS AND SHIPPING • Cable trays, double floors, suspended ceilings. • Fire detection in inaccessible areas . • Fire detection on parking decks of ferries. • Protection for important energy and data cables. • Alarms given on overheating cables. • Exact localisation of overheating cables. • Turbine bearing housings.

  9. BELT CONVEYORS • Power stations, chemical industry, fodder industry. • Insensitive to dirt. • Detection of overheated idlers. • Monitoring of delivery points. • Monitoring of belt-drivers with additional sensors.

  10. INDUSTRIAL PLANTS • Petroleum depots. • Petrol transporters filling stations. • Cold storage houses. • Food preparation areas. • Coffee roasters. • Composting plants. • Spray painting facilities. • Fodder dehydrators. • Historical buildings.

  11. BUILDINGS AND MULTI-STOREY CAR PARKS • Early warning temperature detection system. • Communication rooms. • Monitoring of critical cables in inaccessible areas. • Car parks. • Saves valuable time with exact localisation of temperature variation. • Lift shafts and escalators protection.

  12. SENSOR CABLE SEC 15 • The temperature data transmission is made in digital code. • Maximum cable lengths of 2 x 250m per control unit. • The SEC 15 cable consists of a 2 core flat cable, with integrated temperature sensor circuits fixed in user definable distances.

  13. SEC 15 CABLE CONSTRUCTION • Operating range temp -40°C … +85°C (short periods) max. +100°C • Resolution 0.1° • Measuring cycle 10 seconds • Diameter 13 mm • Bending radius min. 20 cm • Cable length 2 x 250m per SCU • Marking each sensor • Halogen free jacket • FRNC jacket (flame retardant, non-corrosive)

  14. SENSOR CABLE SEC 20 • The SEC 20 cable consists of a 4 core flat cable, with sensors mounted at predetermined intervals 1, 2, 4 or 8 meters. • The sensors contain an ASIC, which is a user specific circuit, and a semiconductor temperature sensor. • In both cases, the application determines the distance between measuring points (sensors). • The cable can also be branched according to the application. Measuring points have fixed addresses, therefore enabling their physical location.

  15. SEC 20 CABLE CONSTRUCTION • Operating temp range -40°C … +85°C (short periods) max. +200°C • Resolution 0.1° • Measuring cycle 10 seconds • Max. number of sensors 312 for fire detection • Diameter 18 mm • Bending radius min. 30cm • Cable length 2500m per SCU • Marking each sensor • Halogen free jacket • FRNC jacket (flame retardant, non-corrosive)

  16. SUMMARY • An early detection system. • A user friendly system. • Connection to conventional and existing systems. • A versatile system that is rugged and insensitive to hostile environments. • Resolution to 0.1° • Pinpoint to the meter where the temperature variation has taken place. • A tried and tested system throughout Europe. • Installation service available with full training.
