International Students from Germany - Trends • International enrollment from Germany declined 2% last year. • Over the past decade, enrollment from Germany has declined 7%. • The peak year for Germany was 2000/01 (10,128 students).
U.S. Study Abroad to Germany - Trends • Study abroad to Germany has almost doubled in the past decade.
International Scholars in the U.S. • U.S. universities hosted 98,239 foreign scholars in 2006/07. • Germany is the only non-Asian country in the top 5 places of origin. The top 5 places of origin account for 50% of the total. Top-ranked China accounts for 21%.
