What is Timekeeper Central? A centralized time and attendance reporting unit for time collection and correction. The main responsibility of this team is to get CPS employees paid correctly and on time every pay cycle.

What is SPS Online? The Timekeeper Central team uses the Supplemental Payment System (SPS) to collect any time and attendance work hours that are in addition to an employee’s regular, full-time hours. All extended day program participation, including Homebound Support, is paid through SPS Online.
Stakeholder Responsibilities Parent of Student • Notify the Principal/School HB Coordinator of the student’s illness and needs • Provide Student’s information to the School HB Coordinator • Initial the CPS Teacher’s daily attendance and sign-off on the Teacher’s bi-weekly timesheet • Notify the School HB Coordinator and the OSES HB Manager if the teacher is not meeting the student’s instructional needs
Stakeholder Responsibilities School HB Coordinator • Collect Student information (medical/psychological referral) from the parent • Assign CPS Employee(s) to the Student’s case • Input Student/Teacher Information into the Homebound Support Program Request Form on TKC Website and submit to OSES for review • Collect signed timesheets and forward to OSES HB Manager
Stakeholder Responsibilities OSES HB Manager • Review Student/Teacher information provided by School HB Coordinators • Send daily updates to Timekeeper Central • Perform attendance audits on Program Participants’ signed timesheets • Approve bi-weekly time and attendance through SPS Online
Stakeholder Responsibilities Timekeeper Central • Create new Homebound Support programs in SPS • Enroll Teacher(s) into program per Student information provided by OSES, triggering email to employee • Send follow-up email to teacher with SPS Online instructions for submitting time and attendance
Stakeholder Responsibilities CPS Teacher • Complete a Teacher Application to become a member of the HHIP Teacher Pool • Provide appropriate instruction in a timely manner • Provide signed paper timesheet to School HB Coordinator at the end of the bi-weekly pay period • Submit time and attendance via SPS Online by 5 P.M. on the last Friday of the period
Program Request Form Requestor Information – This is the name of the School Homebound Coordinator requesting the program. Program Information – These are the service start and end dates for the Student’s Homebound instruction. School Information – This is the School where the Homebound Teacher is located. Teacher Information – These are the Teacher(s) assigned to instruct the student. Student Information – This is the Student receiving homebound instruction. SPS Program Number – This number is generated by the TKC department and assigned to the Teacher’s program for time reporting purposes.
Process Change Dates Programs that began prior to 11/7 • Teachers will continue to follow the same process submitting only signed paper timesheets. No electronic timesheet will be required. Programs that begin on or after 11/7 • Teachers will use the new process submitting both a signed paper timesheet and an electronic timesheet via SPS.

SPS Online Step-by-Step • Teachers will follow the link to SPS Online log-in page from enrollment email • Use CPS Net ID and Password to log in
