Lenses • Lenses: transparent materials that refracts light • Transparent: light passes all the way through/see completely through • Refraction: light bends as it travels from one medium to another • Shapes: • Concave: “CAVES IN” • Convex: “BULGES OUT” • Light will either: • Converge: come together • Diverge: divide/ split apart

  3. Lenses • Mirrors: opaque materials that reflects light • Opaque: light does not pass through the material/cannot see through • Reflection: light hits an object and then bounces back • Shapes: • Concave: “CAVES IN” • Convex: “BULGES OUT” • Plane:flat surface
