  2. Parrots Parrots Are Exotic Exotic African Are Good Good Friend African Grey Friend To Grey To Adopt Adopt | | Parrots have become the 3rd most popular pet, though people don’t want a parrot that screams, wreaks havoc, or bites. Sorry to say but these three things you will find in a parrot. These are just their attributes. When you go to the store to pick up your baby parrots or order online african grey parrot for sale, they are docile and cuddly and you can trust that when they grow up, they will remain so; This is far from the truth. Parrots are not like dogs or cats and have only been domesticated for a few generations. Parrots are still very natural and are learning to adapt to domestication rather than to their natural rain forest environment. Many people who buy baby parrots must have never owned a parrot. They don’t realize or don’t want to think their precious baby is biting, destructive, or screaming. Parrots vet bills can be expensive, they need lots of toys and a very spacious cage, their food can be expensive, and they need lots of fruit and vegetables.Parrots also need a lot of attention and interaction in their flock (the family they live with). With all this, people still go out and buy a parrot that doesn’t accept these facts. After realizing that there’s a lot more to a parrot than putting it in a cage and saying I have a cute parrot. To whom they were assigned I do not know. The parrot’s turn begins to have behavioral problems or begins to pluck. The parrots were given to several families and they were eventually taken to the vet to be euthanized or locked up in a closet or back room and left unattended. Remember this is not how parrots’ lives begin, but this is what happens to them in the end. Very few parrots are brought to the rescue because people don’t know them or don’t put them in loving shelters. Parrots are not a commodity, they are intelligent sentient beings brought into this earth. Parrots are not pets because their wild instincts will always be there. People buy parrots without really thinking about it, unless they’ve seen “Polly” or they want the parrot to talk because it’s so good. Parrots have become a status to own, which is sad because the parrot will never get the chance to have a good life. When the parrot doesn’t talk or act or isn’t cool anymore; what happened to them? Unfortunately, that’s a question I don’t have an answer to, but I’m terrified of the idea of the outcome. Parrots are very sociable and have very real feelings, they also stick together for life. This is why it is so cruel to raise a parrot and then throw it away because of their wild instincts; something many people who own a parrot do.
