Considerations • Potential Legislation geared toward bullying was proposed in January, but met with some opposition in the way the bill was written. However it seems likely that some future bill will pass as Montana is one of only five states to not have legislation addressing this. • We may want to look at our policy. I now that cyber bullying has been discussed. • Layering another program in to fill some of the gaps may be helpful… • Reiteration: Our reported rate of bullying, at TFES and TFJH, is far less than reported rates for our region and our state according to the YRBS. Although bullying at any rate is not something desirable in our school environment.
