  2. Goal: The number of DPS students taking AP classes each year will grow by 3.5% per year. Met • The district has met this goal every year since 2009. • The number of students taking AP classes has increased 65% since 2009. • The district will continue to build pre-AP pipelines in middle and high school

  3. Goal: The number taking the AP test will grow each year by 3.5% per year. Met • The district has met this goal every year since 2009. • The number of students taking AP tests has increased 63% since 2009. • As we increase AP access, we are also requiring students take the AP exam.

  4. Goal: The number of students who take the test and who receive 3, 4 or 5 will increase by 3.5% per year. Met • The district has met this goal every year since 2009. • The number of students taking AP classes has increased almost 100% since 2009. • The district is offering students and staff additional professional development and supports.

  5. Goal: The number of DPS students concurrently enrolled in college classes will grow by 3.5% per year. Met • Since 2009, the district has met this goal every year except from 2011 to 2012. • After decreasing slightly in 2012 after a large gain in 2011, the number of students concurrently enrolled rebounded in 2013. • Concurrent Enrollment is a key component of the district strategy to increase college success.

  6. Goal: The number of students scoring 20 or better on the ACT will grow by 3.5% students per year by 2013. Met • The district has met this goal every year since 2009. • Every school in the district has a plan for ACT preparation.

  7. Goal: The graduation rate for DPS students will increase by 5% per year. • Since 2007-2008, this goal has only been met in one year (2008-2009). • District, Network, and school teams are identifying the graduation status of students and directing students to appropriate supports. The goal was set based on 2007 overall graduation rate, rather than the four-year, on-time rate.
