  4. What makes a good Programme? • Patients have contributed to the Programme • All audits can be measured against standards • The organisation enables the conduct of clinical audit • Clinical and non-clinical stakeholders have been consulted • Topics have been prioritised (HQIP, 2009)

  5. Examples of audits undertaken in 2012/13 • NATIONAL • Ambulance Quality Indicators • - Heart Attack (Time to Treatment and Care Bundle) • - Stroke (Time to Treatment and Care Bundle) • - Cardiac Arrest (Patient Outcomes) • National Clinical Performance Indicators • - Asthma • - Hypoglycaemia • - Below Knee Fracture • - Febrile Convulsions (management and referral)

  7. LINks Suggestions • 2012/13 Programme was the 1st year we included a ‘Public Priority’ audit • You asked for an audit around the Transportation for Dialysis Patients and the use of Taxis • We plan to collaborate with PTS for this audit in Feb 2013.

  8. We would like your suggestions again… • We scrutinise the standard of clinical care delivered to patients. Are there any particular medical complaints you think we should focus on? • We scrutinise the Patient Report Forms. We can audit any clinical information that has been documented. • We could audit whether infection control procedures are being followed or whether clinical guidelines are being adhered to…
