CU Digital Leaders is a student-staff partnership that aims to help the students improve their digital competences, gain awareness of their own digital identities, and take control of their online presence. Our aim is to assist students, new artists, creative startups and art enthusiasts - who have an interest in gaining recognition for their creative endeavours – to successfully create their brand, especially online. Under which we have created the website In this website we provide a series of articles – fun, easy to read, and beautifully illustrated – that will give you some insight into the soft skills of branding.   6. Why should you care about branding? By definition, we know that: “the promotion of a particular product or company by means of advertising and distinctive design.” It’s important for small, large-scale businesses, retails or B2B. However as an artist, Branding is also important to represent you as a person. As an artist, whether you want to sell your work, or just to gain recognition – it’s both simple and hard, as the tools you’ll be using are easy to get around to – but the meaning that you are trying to get out there will be hit-or-miss based on the way you are presenting them.

  13. Social responsibility Many people do not realise that big companies have social responsibility. But we are all aware that due to their size and profits they have an unbelievable social reach. That gives the messages those companies try to convey very impactful. Creating high quality advertisement and having a budget to showcase it through nearly every available media outlet, those companies have the power to shape ideas, both political and societal than can leave marks for generations.

  15. Activity: Create a Brand Representation You will receive 1 client with a particular background and particular requirement. Your team will create the required promotional material for them in 10 minutes.
