Things to know about Dr. Monica Wehby LEGACY MEDICAL GROUP - NEUROSURGERY Dr. Monica Wehby, MD As a practicing neurosurgeon for over 20 years, Dr. Monica Wehby has built a career of countless accomplishments, from early involvement as student body president at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas, to chair of the Medical Student Section of the Texas Medical Association. Centering her studies on children’s health, she became an icon in the Pediatric Neurosurgery community. She currently is the director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland, Oregon.

Meet Dr. Monica Wehby LEGACY MEDICAL GROUP - NEUROSURGERY Education Dr. Monica Wehby earned her Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed her neurosurgery residency at UCLA Medical School and was awarded a neurosurgery fellowship at Primary Children’s Medical Center, Salt Lake City, Utah. 1979: BS in Microbiology & BA in Psychology at UND 1988: Medical Degree from BCM (Student Body President + Senior Class President + Chair of Medical Student Section of Texas Medical association) 1995: Neurosurgery Residency at UCLA 1997: Neurosurgery Fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at UofU 2007: Elected President of the Oregon Medical Association 2011: Trustee at the American Medical Association

Dr. MonicaWehby also won the Congressional Medal of distinction for improving children’s health, while being a strong defender and activist for universal accessible health insurance.
