Future Outlook • Two Chief Objectives: • Internationalization of Taiwanese Students • Short-term strategies: • Increase number of students who study abroad • Increase English-requirements • Hire more English-speaking professors and introduce more English- taught courses • Establish connections between alumni and current students • Encourage students to take social science and business courses • Make use of the membership in various university organizations • Long-term strategies: • Introduce a compulsory “study abroad” exchange component • Create a new “International Design” program

Attract International Students • Short-term strategies: • Attract overseas Chinese and increase the quota admitted each year • Make the DT&C website more informative • Advocate to change certain university policies towards international students • Long-term strategies: • Create a completely English-taught program • Take advantage of the university’s affiliation with the Chinese language Centre • Be prepared to capitalize on China’s untapped market
