  3. Phase 2 September – December 2007 • Statewide Listening Tour • High level budget modeling begins (present law adjustments + pay plan estimate) • Begin the development of MUS priority budget items • Broaden discussion of LRBP Priorities

  4. Phase 3 January – April 2008 • Initial meetings with the Office of Budget and Program Planning (OBPP) • LRBP Preliminary Proposal – March BOR meeting • Preliminary Budget Proposal (present law, pay plan, MUS priority budget items)

  5. Phase 4 May – August 2008 • Board Finalizes: • LRBP • Budget (present law, MUS priority initiatives, and pay plan direction) • Work jointly with OBPP & Governor to address MUS funding requirements

  6. Phase 5 September – December 2008 • Mini-statewide Tour • Legislative session preparation Phase 6 January – April 2009 • 2009 Legislature
