Schuhplattler and Bavarian Dances „Schuhplattler“ is a dance. It is danced by men wearing leather trousers and sometimes with women turning around. Are traditional music and dances still „in“? All-over Lower Bavaria local costume groups try to keep traditional dances alive. In cities they encounter more difficulties than in villages due to the fact that lot of inhabitants are not originally from Bavaria and that young people usually prefer other kind of music and dance. Music groups experienced the same situation but the traditions are still well alive and continue to be passed to the younger generation. Thank you for your attention!
