  3. What’s WebSphere? WebSphere is IBM’s product launched in 1998 with a goal to integrate all the existing data of a company. It is based on Java programming language and is used to build interactive Web-oriented languages.

  4. More Precise Definition • WebSphere is a set of software products that are used by the end-users to create applications. • Once the application is successfully created, WebSphere allows users to integrate the applications with other applications.

  5. About WAS • WAS is a WebSphere Application Server which laid the foundation of WebSphere software. • It’s an application server that can be used by a customer to connect Web site users with Java applications.

  6. WebSphere Sizes • WebSphere comes with four different sizes. They are: • Super sized • Large sized • Medium sized • Small sized As every company is different and have different requirements, the need of WebSphere products also varies with the size of company. They can choose which suits best to them.

  7. WebSphere Features • Running codes that ease business applications • Realizing multi tier applications • Modular options to serve different requirements • Works for multi operating systems
