  3. History “Pioneer Days” Avocado Festival Roots Fallbrook founded in 1880’s by the Reche family. The Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce creates “Pioneer Days” in 1945. The phrase “The Avocado Capital of the World” is created to promote Fallbrook Avocado’s. The first “Pioneer Days” lasted for 3 days. More focused on the local produce. In 1987 the first “Avocado Festival” was held.
