Assessment of error due to orifice diametermis-measurement Michael Reader-Harris TUV NEL Scotland
Introduction • Orifice diameters have been mis-measured • The aim of this project is to calculate the error • Actual calculations were carried out first for Blackrod (2 orifice runs), initially in percentage terms
Daily flow corrections required • For each (approximately four-minute) interval the flow was divided between Tubes A and B. • For each day the flow can thus be divided between Tubes A and B. • The correction for each day can thus be calculated.
Blackrod report • Calibration certificates have been added. • Configuration data reports have been added. • Daily corrections have been added. • An Excel spreadsheet has been produced to enable the results for one 24-hour period to be checked.
24 more sites • We are calculating correction factors. • They will be applied to the daily data. • Report(s) will be produced.
