Scientific Name The scientific name for the American Alligator is mississippiensis
Size • Adult male alligators are usually 13-14.7 ft. long. • Females are usually 9.8 ft. long.
Why are they endangered? • Poachers were hunting them illegally and you are not supposed to hunt them at all
FACTS!!!!!!! • The alligators eat bird, fish, mammals, turtles, snakes, and amphibians • They live in the Everglade National Forest
