  1. Burning Money Demo. By: Aaron Williams & Kristina Mickelson

  2. Balanced Chemical Reaction C2H5OH+4O2 2CO2+3H20+energy

  3. Reactants C2H5OH4O2 • Carbon • Hydrogen • Oxygen

  4. Products 2CO23H2Oenergy • Carbon dioxide • Water • Energy

  5. Combustion • Act or process of burning • Rapid oxidation accompanied by hear and usually, light • Chemical combustion attended by production of heat and light • Slow oxidation not accompanied by high temperature and light

  6. Materials • Alcohol-water solution(50% alcohol 50%water) • Dollar bill • Tongs • Matches or lighter

  7. Procedure • . Prepare the alcohol and water solution. You can mix 50 ml of water with 50 ml of 95-100% alcohol. • 2. Add a pinch of salt or other colorant to the alcohol/water solution, to help produce a visible flame. • 3. Soak a dollar bill in the alcohol/water solution so that it is thoroughly wet. • 4.
