  4. Your Task is to • Use evidence to base your persuasive letter on • Emphasize clues you’ve found during your trips • Use effective words to convince • Think of a scientific explanation for your theory that Wegener might have had trouble coming up with • Prove yourself to be wise

Evidence and Proof • You have gathered fossils, rock samples, minerals, and pictures of formations • You drew maps showing the locations of each sample and evidence were collected • You used continents fit like a puzzle • You referred to climatic evidence • You even checked chains of mountains on different continents
