  2. PPPO Mission • The Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (PPPO) mission is to accomplish the following at the Portsmouth Site. • Environmental Remediation • Waste Management • Decontamination and Decommissioning • Depleted Uranium Hexafluoride (DUF6) Conversion 2

  3. Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant 3

Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant • Contractors • Fluor-B&W Portsmouth (FBP) • Joint venture between Fluor and Babcock & Wilcox • Responsible for the decontamination and decommissioning of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio • WastrenEnergX Mission Support (WEMS) • Joint venture between Wastren Advantage, Inc. and ExergXInc • Responsible for Facility Support Services at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio 4

Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant • Portsmouth plant is undergoing D&D. • Enrichment operations at Portsmouth were discontinued by United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) on May 11, 2001 • Site returned from United States Enrichment Corporation to DOE in 2011. • FBP currently performing some Maintenance Actions in preparation of D&D. • Performed plant characterization in FY2012. • Began maintenance action to remove compressors and converters in X-326. 5

Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant • Completed projects include • Demolition of electrical switchyards • Demolition of X-100, site office building • Addition of natural gas plant to replace coal plant • Current projects include; • removing compressors and converters from X-326 Process building. • Waste characterization • Barter transfer of UF6 • Demolition of X-600 (steam plant), X-102 (cafeteria) and the X-106 Tactical Response Building 6

Portsmouth Support for DOECAP • During FY2013, the Portsmouth site provided support for the following laboratory audits: • Jim Chambers – Rad ChemAuditor, Southwest Research Institute • Jim Chambers – Lead and Rad Chem Auditor , TestAmerica–St Louis • Jim Chambers – Inorg Auditor, GEL Laboratories • Jim Chambers – Lead and Inorg Auditor, ALS-Ohio • During FY2013, the Portsmouth site provided support for the following TSD audits • Jim Chambers – Waste Ops Auditor, Waste Control Specialists LLC 10

Portsmouth Support for DOECAP • During FY2014, the Portsmouth site anticipates supporting the following TSD audits • ARS International • ALS Laboratory Group Ohio • ALS Laboratory Group Utah • Eberline Services • InorgAuditor, GEL Laboratories • Materials and Chemistry Laboratory, Inc. • Microbac Tennessee • ALS Colorardo • TestAmerica-Arvada • TestAmericaSt. Louis • Southwest Research Institute • USEC Paducah 11

  12. Portsmouth Support for DOECAP • During FY2014, the Portsmouth site anticipates supporting 2 of the 3 following TSD audits: • Perma-Fix Materials and Energy Corporation • Clean Harbors, Deer Park • Waste Control Specialists LLC 12
