Adductor Hallucis • Origin: • oblique head: base of metatarsals 2-4 • transverse head: head of metatarsals 3-5 • Insertion: • base of proximal phalanx of hallux on lateral side • Innervation: • lateral plantar nerve (S2,3)
Adductor Hallucis • Actions: • adduct great toe toward midline of foot (i.e. 2nd digit) • flex hallux at MTP joint
Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis • Origin: • base of 5th metatarsal • Insertion: • base of proximal phalanx of 5th digit on lateral side • Innervation: • lateral plantar nerve (S2,3)
