Shelter • Most of the Illini lived in Long Houses • Semi-Permanent dwellings • Wood frame with bark or thatch coverings
Changes • First Lifestyle change came with early French contact – Missionaries and Trappers • Materials and religion • Illini pushed to the West by Iroquois and Mohawk Indians • Tribes were more fierce and pushed them off lands • Finally relocated to reservations in Oklahoma and Nebraska where they still live today
