  5. Know Your Audience Who are they? What is there background? Gender? Age? Sector of your community? Cultural Differences Language

  9. 3 Minute Person • This person will stop and read your message • These folks read your brochure

  10. Focus Groups • Random individuals or inline with target audience • Talk with neighbors • No previous knowledge of goal • Can help to clarify message • Get out of the fish bowl

  11. Using Feedback • Use feedback to modify message • Update as needed • Don’t assume
