I am going to try email. On the 16th of Feb I froze Item Control Number 894756 1046 0014 Stereolithography system. Which is supposed to be released the 2nd of March. I am trying to find out more about this piece of equipment and if you could give me the name of the person who excessed it or the prior owner I would appreciate it. I would also like to know if it is still in the building where it was used or if it is in a warehouse.   26. DW Year 2 budget • Budget total is $430K for FY02 • $330K from Engineering Division • $100K projected from DesignWorks recharge • $14/hr DesignWorks recharge to start in February • We have used up $173K in first quarter • $257 left in budget ($86 per quarter)

Major actions in DW Year 2 • New work from New Initiatives effort • DW involvement: Mark and Steve • They will do networking, education, sales • We are hoping for collaborations on interesting projects • Expanding expertise in group • Electronics engineering • Software engineering • Get the word out on DesignWorks • Presentations to research groups within LBNL • Develop a DW Design Methodology • Robin and Ken to lead effort • Smooth out charging issues with LLNL, SLAC, UCB

Minor actions in DW Year 2 • Continue improving our work areas • Move gadget lab to 244E • Clean up storage area • Paint last wall • Improve library space • Kitchen and outdoor area • Web page, logo, etc. • Finish DW web page (including effective communication tools) • Finalize DW logo (and plaster it everywhere)

In January 2003… • DW has a handful of regular clients • DW is a collaborator on a few exciting projects generated from New Initiatives • we have a larger and more diverse group of people • the gadget lab is established in room 244E • the RP lab is established and churning out parts • we have a well defined design process • we have a cool web page that everyone uses • we are fully integrated into the rest of Building 77 operations as well as Engineering Division
