  1. “Divided We Fall”

  2. (Matthew 12:6) "Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple. (NKJV) (Matthew 12:8) "For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath." (NKJV)

  3. (Galatians 3:19) What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. (NKJV) (Mark 2:27) And He said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. (NKJV)

  4. (Matthew 12:15) But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. (NKJV)

  5. (Colossians 3:16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (NKJV) (Acts 20:7) Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight. (NKJV) (2 Timothy 4:2) Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. (NKJV)

  6. (Matthew 12:22-29) Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?" Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons." But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. "If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? "And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. "But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. "Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. (NKJV)

  7. Three reasons why this miracle was from God: Satan would oppose himself (Mat. 12:25, 26) Because it did good (Mat. 12:27-28)

  8. ((Mark 9:38) Now John answered Him, saying, "Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us." (NKJV) (Acts 19:13-16) Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches." Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?" Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. (NKJV)

  9. Three reasons why this miracle was from God: Satan would oppose himself (Mat. 12:25, 26) Because it did good (Mat. 12:27-28) Because it defeated Satan (Mat. 12:29-30)

  10. (Matthew 12:31-32) "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. "Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. (NKJV)

  11. (Matthew 12:23) And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?" (NKJV)

  12. It was through the Spirit Jesus was conceived (Mat. 1:8) His baptism prophesied by John (Mat. 3:11) Spirit descended upon Jesus at His baptism (Mat. 3:16) Led him into the wilderness to be tempted (Mat. 4:1) Was promised to inspire the apostles while on trial (Mat. 10:20) Was put on Jesus (God’s servant as prophesied by Isaiah (Mat. 12:18) Was the means by which Jesus cast out demons (Mat. 12:28)

  13. To reject everything God’s covenant with them was based upon… (Genesis 26:4) "And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; (NKJV) (Leviticus 26:14-16) But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. (NKJV)

  14. (Romans 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (NKJV) (2 John 1:9) Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (NKJV)
