  2. EuCARD in the top 6 BRAVO! Results FP7-IA-2008 125 projects above eligibility threshold EC is trying to finance 37 projects Substantial EC budget reduction to EuCARD! 10 M€ instead of the requested 15 M€

Discussion with EC Scientific officer • No chance to get a budget increase • It is recognized that the EC strategy applied to this call created serious problems to large projects. • Steps will be discussed in September to offer a possibility of budget complement in 2010 for CERTAIN IA’s a Strong lobbying is needed

Extension of the ESGARD committee: The process has started As discussed with lab directors, the Spanish community has been contacted After internal discussion, they propose a physicist from CIEMAT. We will consult the ESGARD directors for approval. On going discussion within ESGARD Including representatives from the Eastern community? • Eastern European countries? • Russia? Including large Nuclear Physics labs? • GSI ? • other ?
