What is IB? In international education we are guided by 3 level of relationships: • How human beings relate to each other • How they relate to a culture • How they relate to their shared humanity. “It is making sense of these relationships, the personal, the cultural and the universal, that is the challenge to international education.” -George Walker, 2003

Classroom Management • For classroom management, I will be using the stick system, students will get 5 sticks on Monday. Sticks will be taken from them for breaking rules, that will be established on the first day of school, not following the procedures discussed. • Loosing a stick mean you will walk the track for 5 minutes of recess. • If all five sticks are lost in a week, then there will be a conference with the student and an action plan developed, parents will be called if needed. • Discipline is handled on a individual basis, so everything won’t look exactly the same. • Students will be asked to write a reflection of what happened.
Snacks • Students will be allowed to have a healthy snack after special areas(granola, yogurt, fruit etc.). • We ask that students not bring chips, candy or sodas. We also do not allow students to share snacks unless it is for the whole class. • We have healthy snacks available for $.5o if your child would like to purchase one here. • If you would like to donate a class snack that would be great. Sometimes students forget their money and/or snack and I love to have back up for them.
