  2. (1) Only eat fully cooked fresh food, cooking kills almost all the bacteria.

  3. (2) Avoid uncooked food, salads, juices or anything you can't peel.

  4. (3) Choose a reputed restaurant, avoid those that offer less hygienic $1 meals.

  5. (4) Don't eat street food, although you may try those that care about cleanliness.

  6. (5) Never overeat, it can cause digestion problems and weaken your immune system.

  7. (6) Avoid extra spicy food that has lots of red chili powder, it may upset your stomach.

  8. (7) Prefer vegetarian food while you’re in India, or eat non-veg only in respectable restaurants.

  9. (8) Drink bottled water purchased from a grocery store.

  10. (9) Keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water to stay healthy in the hot and humid weather of India.

  11. (10) Coconut water is great to drink, readily available in less than $1.

  12. (11) Avoid ice cubes in drinks because of the poor quality of water they are made from.

  13. (12) Don’t forget to enjoy early morning masala tea, it’s just amazing.

  14. Few more tips on using water: Brush your teeth with bottled water to prevent any infection. While taking shower, keep your mouth or eyes shut to avoid contaminated tap water getting there. Avoid Bathing in holy rivers as they are full pollutants, at least keep close your eyes & mouth and block your nose & ears.
