  2. CAP National Operations Center • What’s new since FY08? • e108’s replace old paper CAPF 108 • Reports • CAPF 104 • Advanced Mission Search • CAP-USAF Flying • eFlight Release • eFlight Schedule

  3. CAP National Operations Center • e108’s • In FY08, 10,000 paper 108’s were processed. • The paper form required a physical signature • Processing through the NOC took days • Payments required 100% of one employee’s time.

CAP National Operations Center • e108’s • In FY09 all reimbursements are through the e108 process. • The form is completely electronic • The producer and approver do not have to be in the same place. • Once approved at the wing, the e108 is at NHQ ready for approval and reimbursement. • Reimbursement time from creation to payment is days rather than weeks.

CAP National Operations Center • e108’s • Why do some e108’s take longer? • MX e108’s must have an invoice for the aircraft supported. • AFROTC can have problems getting confirmation on flights (report all you fly on a single day). • Questionable expenses (charts, food, drinks, vehicle/aircraft parts, etc.)

  6. CAP National Operations Center • e108’s • Receipts • Fuel/Oil receipts can now be loaded on the sortie. • Allows the receipt to follow the sortie through the e108 process • Saves the wing time when creating the e108 • Very useful for member’s seeking reimbursement

CAP National Operations Center • Once released, the pilot receives an E-Mail confirmation of the release. • The FRO can not release a flight if they are on that flight. • If the FRO is added to the flight later, the system will block the update and alert the user that the FRO can not be on that flight.

  30. CAP National Operations Center • Smartphone process is similar, but on a smaller screen. • The user steps through screens that lead to the release approval/disapproval. • Once released the pilot still gets an E-Mail confirmation.

  32. CAP National Operations Center • What if I’m not at a computer and don’t have a smartphone? • You can still use the CAPF 99 and enter the flight release later, but be sure you document the release.

CAP National Operations Center • What if I’m not at a computer, don’t have a smartphone, can’t find a CAPF 99, the baby ate my pen, etc……..? • How do you do it now? • Pass to another FRO? • Ask the pilot to call back when you can release the flight? • If you are not in a position to release a flight properly, you should not release the flight!
