    3. Reading Partners Project “It is very exciting that in these tough times more and more engagement between readers and writers is taking place in libraries. In a no-risk and positive environment publishers can launch new authors and attract substantial audiences for established writers. There is so much to build on with many opportunities for finding new readers of all ages and from all communities.” Amanda Ridout, Managing Director, Harper Collins

    6. Manchester Libraries “The event was particularly meaningful to the Asian students, because they had not met an author who was from their community or ethnic background. I believed that as an Asian person… his views had more of an impact than a white English author would have [had].” Teacher of students

    7. Constance Briscoe at Newham Library

    8. “I can honestly say that I have never been to such an incredible event. Everyone was so excited to meet Constance – it was an almost evangelical experience. And the scrum and queue for the book signing was like that of an A list celebrity. I feel confident that the event did a huge amount to reach out to readers who would never normally go to a library event, and so helped us raise the profile of the library service.” Eleni Fostiropoulos Publicity Manager, Hodder & Stoughton
