  1. Coach Don Haskins constantly thinking up a strategy to help his team to victory and overcome the racial challenges.

  2. Haskins forced the players to be within close quarters of one another in hopes that it will bring them closer as a united team.

  3. Coach Haskins teaching his players how to play on the court with each players' individual skills, working as a cohesive unit. While fighting the outside criticism of an integrated team.

  4. Haskins needed to bring confidence to the team and a belief that they could be invincible if they wanted to be. In-stowed that power and strength within his players to be successful.

  5. The respect that evolved for the Minor team was inevitable amongst the population. They created a strong bond with one another that could not be broken and it all started with a passionate belief of Coach Don Haskins.
