  3. Introduction Did you know that giraffes can grow to be 18 feet tall? They are the tallest animals in the world.

  4. Physical Description Giraffes have fur with yellow and brown spots. They are mammals. Males can grow up to 18 feet tall. Females can grow up to 16 feet tall. A giraffe’s foot can be as big around as a dinner plate.

  5. Habitat of Giraffes Giraffes are found in Africa and live mostly in the savannahs.

  6. Diet Giraffes eat leaves and plants. They do not eat meat. They love the leaves of the Acacia trees.

  7. Life Cycle of Giraffes Giraffes are mammals and babies are born live. The mama giraffes stand up to give birth and the baby drops 6 feet to the ground. Giraffes can live for up to 25 years.

  8. Dangers and Predators Giraffes have many animals that will harm them. The main threat to giraffes are lions. They also have to be afraid of hyenas, leopards, and wild dogs.
