  1. The Many Uses Of A Sock Take a plain tube sock and give one to each student. Have them write their name in permanent marker on the cuff of the sock. Hand out 1 dry erase marker to each student. Tell the students to place their dry erase marker in their sock. Explain to the student’s that the sock is both their dry eraser holder and eraser. Demonstrate how the students will use the sock as an eraser. Explain to student that their dry erase marker sock will be kept in a special place on their desk. Show students that the sock will be tied to the cross member of their desk. Have students practice tying and untying their socks. Practice using socks and dry erase markers. Create sock into puppets by letting the students decorate them on 1 side w/ permanent marker
