How do I use Finale? • Input music by: *using computer keyboard alone in real-time *combinations of mouse clicks, keyboard, & MIDI piano keyboard *by MIDI keyboard alone • Notate anything from a textbook choral to a cut-out score • Can recognize printed music from a scanned copy
Benefits of Finale • Import/export MIDI files • Transpose music • Edit dynamics, rhythms, and tempos • Notate pitches played on an acoustic instrument through microphone • Composer can create new symbols
