  2. In pursuit of excellence, Stephania heads over to Building 51 to get help at the Writing Lab.

  3. Paulotakes advantage of one of the valuable services the Writing Lab has to offer by making a paper reading appointment .

  4. Stephanialounges in the Lab’s comfortable and stylish waiting area during her brief wait.

  5. Greeted by one of the friendly and knowledgeable staff, Paulo checks in.

  6. Stephaniaand her paper reader engage in an interactive session targeting areas about which Stephaniahas questions.

  7. The paper reader shows Paulo how to access a few of the more than 100 area-specific informational handouts that are located both in the Lab and on the Writing Lab web site: uwf.edu/writelab

  8. Stephaniathen participates in Skill-of-the-Week tutoring, which ensures that Stephaniaunderstands grammatical concepts associated with the English language.

  9. Paulo leaves, well-informed and more confident in his grammar and writing abilities.

  10. After arriving home, Stephaniaremembers a grammar question, so she emails her question to the Writing Lab’s Grammar Hotline at writelab@uwf.edu. The Grammar Hotline is available by phone as well: (850) 474-2129.

  11. Paulo tells his friend Stephaniaabout the Writing Lab so that she will be able to benefit from the Writing Lab services as well.

  12. Paulo is taking online classes, so he submits his paper to the Online Writing Lab (OWL).

  13. Stephania schedules another paper reading appointment. Stephania’s experience with the Writing Lab makes her realize that any writer can benefit from an extra pair of eyes.
