Substance of the program: • Informal network that makes continuous connection between the villages of the region trough telehouses, self-governments, schools and other public institutes. • The program helps to make the basic infrastructure that ensures the broadband Internet connection for the obturaged villages.

Steps of the realisation of the project • 2000 the youth organisations of Csík hollow construct telehouses, youth offices, centres. • 2000 for the initiative of the CSTIT, in the support programmes, appeared the support for telehouses • 2002 the general assembly of the CSTIT decided to found a telehouse network, and the project team of Hargita Háló (Hargita Net) was formed.

  9. 2003 The description of the HH was born, and was sent to the supporters. 2004 – with the support of the Hungarian IHM-RMDSZ the realisation of the HH program started, in the first part 21 acess point was cosecrated in 6 villages and in Csíkszereda on 23rd of November. 2005 July 30 – The starting deadline of e-Hungary points of Hargita Háló

  10. Situation analysis of the program: more, than 7 access points: - mainly telehouses, 34 public access points self-governments, schools and other public institutes are members of the system (network of more than 400 computers) The participation in the program is regulated by contract

Strengthened the cooperation of local communities: - agreements on local village levels - in the budget of self governments showed up the support for telehouses - it was usually base of the cooperation between the local people – self-government, public occupants, the non profit sphere Thanks to the program, the broadband Internet access came into existence in rural villages: - in villages to where the profit oriented way can not get to - it is available for individuals, businesses and other institutes

  13.  There examples for practical use in the everyday life of the rural areas: - every day communications - bank administration - writing compositions - acquiring training materials - accessory supply for agricultural machinery - acquiring seed - administration in connection with marketing of agricultural products

  14.  The public development and training programs began: - ECDL courses - language and farmer courses  Telehouses as local supply centres: - getting support for local cultural, youth and sport programs - look for tender opportunities and making tenders - support information can gained trough the system

  15.  Doing village development tasks: - making and continuously refreshing village webpages - making reports about the happenings of village and send them to the medias - making digital image material about the village - editing the local newspaper  HH PR materials: - a good image was drawn about the program - there is HH logo, tablet, placard, webpage
