  3. Facts • Males weigh 330-550 & Females weigh 264- 396 • Males reproduce at 5 yrs. But females can reproduce at 4 yrs. • Gestation period runs 110-119 days.

  4. Facts Diet- they are carnivores They prey on deer, antelope, and water buffalo. But due to habitat destruction they are forced to go on a strict diet. They travel and hunt in packs called pride packs.

  5. Why They are Endangered • They were being hunted in the early 1900’s • They are very vulnerable to disease’s • Over 1,000 of the species died from outbreaks and habitat destruction
