  4. Introductions … the easy way Example … Our speaker this evening is working from the advanced manual, Speaking to Inform, doing the project “A Fact-Finding Report”. In this presentation Joan is to prepare a report and deliver it to the audience with sufficient factual information that the audience can make valid conclusions or sound decisions. Following the 5 – 7 minute report will be a 2 – 3 minute question period in which you will be able to ask questions about the report.

Introductions … the easy way Example cont’d … Our speaker this evening is a Trust Services Officer with Concentra Trust, a national trust company.One aspect of her position is to provide support to credit union employees across Canada who are providing personal trust services to their members. One of the other aspects of her job is to research legislation.

Introductions … the easy way Example cont’d … One of the common questions she receives relates to an individual’s common-law rights, whether same or opposite sex, in dealing with personal trust issues. Tonight she’ll be discussing recent legislative changes here in Saskatchewan that arose from a Supreme Court of Canada decision. Please welcome Joan McAulay with “How M v. H affects residents of Saskatchewan”
