INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL HEALTH INSURANCE University’s Travel Management Policy 3.7 requires travelers to provide the Office of Risk Management information related to their University-sponsored or affiliated foreign travel, before initiating their trip. Failure to provide this information in advance may result in withholding University permission to travel and/or reimbursement of travel expenses. During a time of emergency, this information will assist SMU in having accurate status of its students, faculty, and staff, as well as assisting the university with travel and medical insurance benefits. These benefits are brought to you in partnership with a third party insurance carrier “HTH Worldwide”.

Faculty & staff traveling abroad on university business Students in SMU-sponsored education abroad programs, and on other university-sponsored business and activities Covered only for the duration of approved travel Extended stays and family coverage may be arranged through HTH at traveler’s own expense All participants referred as “Students” Students, Faculty, and Staff ELIGIBILITY

    11. 1ST EMAIL CONFIRMATION (will arrive immediately) Dear __________________ Thank you for choosing HTH Worldwide Insurance Services! Your insurance registration will be processed within 24 hours.  At that time, we will enroll you and send you an email with your certificate information.  Questions?  Please email us (studentinfo@hthworldwide.com) or call 1.888.350.2002. The information you submitted is subject to change when it processes in our systems.  When you receive enrollment confirmation, please verify the information on it with the information you submitted, which is displayed below.         Also, please register for the HTH Students site (also for faculty and staff) once you receive your Certificate Number from us or your group administrator.  You'll receive free access to valuable web tools to help you keep track of your insurance plan and stay healthy and safe during your international travel.  By registering for the HTH Students site you can review your insurance benefits, check the status of a claim, find a doctor inside or outside the US, research vaccination and health risk information, review health and security news from around the globe, sign up to receive personalized news alerts by email, choose from dozens of articles on student health topics--and more--all online!     12. 2ND EMAIL CONFIRMATION (will arrive in 24 hours of registration) It is important that you take the time to read all of the information in this email. Before you depart on your program, you will need to activate your access to the tools and information provided for you on HTH's website. You must also print your health insurance ID card and complete your Well Prepared Profile on the site before you go. This is very important, as this card is your proof of coverage. What you need to do: Step 1: Print out a copy of this email. Register on the site (if you have already registered, skip to 'Step 3: Print your ID card' below):

    13. 2ND EMAIL CONFIRMATION …continued Step 2:Point your web browser to: www.hthstudents.com/login/step1.cfm Enter your email address, indicate 'No, I'm signing up for the first time' and click 'Sign In' Enter your Certificate Number, your name and the month and year you will complete your study abroad program and confirm your email address Your Certificate Number and name must match the enrollment information provided to HTH, which is: Certificate Number: ________________ Name: ____________________ Click 'Submit' Complete the registration/activation process by following the remaining steps onscreen.

    14. 2ND EMAIL CONFIRMATION …continued Step 3: Print your ID card After registration/activation, go to the 'My Benefits' section – the link is on the left side of the orange bar at the top of the screen In the right hand column of the table that appears, click 'ID Card' You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the card Your card is at the bottom of the letter that appears.
