  1. International Club 2014 Paris London ROME

  2. Day One: Saturday, April 12th, 2014 • We arrived at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport at 3:00 pm for a 5:45 flight to Philadelphia. At 9:50 pm, we took an overnight flight across the Atlantic, landing at 8:30 am in London’s Heathrow Airport.

  4. Day Two: Sunday 4/13 • After meeting our tour guide, Pamela, we headed out to see London using the “tube” and the train. • We watched street performers at Covent Garden, and visited Picadilly Circus, which is like the Times Square of London.

  5. Day 3: Monday, 4/14 • After a good night’s sleep, we did a bus tour of London. Big Ben! Parliament! • We then headed out to Windsor Castle, which is the weekend home for the Royal Family. We were told the Queen was in residence!

  7. Day 3: Monday 4/14 • After having a proper British meal of fish and chips, we headed to London’s West End for a viewing of the musical “Wicked.” • We took the “tube” and the train back to our hotel, and it was time to pack for our morning train to Paris.

  9. Day 4: Tuesday 4/15 • We took a Eurostar train from London to Paris, going through the Chunnel. • Then we toured the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Arc de Triomphe, followed by a river cruise along the Seine.

  10. Day 5: Wednesday 4/16 • Wednesday took students to the Palace of Versailles, former home of Louis XIV and the French Monarchy. • The interior and grounds of Versailles were opulent. Gold, crystal, and velvet adorned every inch of space.

  12. Day 5: Paris at Night • The evening ended by ascending the Montparnasse Tower for spectacular views of Paris at night. • At 9:00 pm, the Eiffel Tower “sparkles” for 5 minutes. This is where many students fell in love with the “city of lights.”

  13. Day 6:Thursday 4/18 • On our final day in Paris, we visited the Louvre, where we saw the famous Mona Lisa. • We then visit Montmartre, which gave a hillside view of the city. We also bought groceries for the night train to Rome.

  16. Day 7: Friday April 18th • Our first stop off the train was the Vatican Museum, home of the Sistine Chapel. • Students were able to see Michelagelo’s “The Creation of Adam” fresco on the ceiling.

  17. Day 8: Saturday, April 19th • Today was the grand tour of Rome. We saw the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, and the ancient Pantheon temple. • At night, we did a Rome by night tour, where we saw the Trevi Fountain and tossed in our coins to return to Rome.

  19. Day 8: Saturday, April 19th • Our hotel was outside of the city on peaceful Lake Bracciano. There was a medieval castle at the apex of the town. Students were able to experience the rural and rustic Italian countryside.

We would like to offer a massive “THANK YOU” to all of the parents, family members, teachers, administrators, Board of Education, and community organizations that have helped make this trip a reality for our students. As you can see, this truly was the “trip of a lifetime.” To our travelers– you have made Salamanca proud. You conducted yourselves with integrity and class. You are a joy to be around and we hope that this experience has left a positive impact that will continue to grow with you.
