I have with me my colleagues Carmen Hendy and Dan Marshall. Today we are going to give a short overview of the role within Somerset.Good afternoon everyone.     2. Introduction There are four PCT’s in Somerset with 2 primary care mental health workers (PCMHW) in each. South Somerset PCMHW are attached to the mental health team Somerset coast work alongside CMP All completed PGcert MH at Plymouth University To give a taste of the PCMHW role in Somerset we are going to discuss the following………….. 1/These are as follows; Mendip, South Somerset, Taunton Deane & Somerset Coast. 2/They have been post since November 2004 and are led by Diana Vollans who is a consultant clinical psychologist and mental health lead for Somerset. 3/ Whilst the graduates from Mendip and Taunton Deane are not attached to a mental health service. 4/ Dan will discuss in detail further on the post graduate further on in the presentation. 1/These are as follows; Mendip, South Somerset, Taunton Deane & Somerset Coast. 2/They have been post since November 2004 and are led by Diana Vollans who is a consultant clinical psychologist and mental health lead for Somerset. 3/ Whilst the graduates from Mendip and Taunton Deane are not attached to a mental health service. 4/ Dan will discuss in detail further on the post graduate further on in the presentation.

Clinical activity- Where the PCMHW fits in at South Somerset PCT The structure of clinical activity at the other PCT’s Supervision Training Projects -Website -MAMS -Book prescription scheme 3 – Supervision – which is various Training that we have all undertaken over the last 12 months And some examples of projects that we have been involved in.3 – Supervision – which is various Training that we have all undertaken over the last 12 months And some examples of projects that we have been involved in.
