  2. CSSCA’s Purpose & Mission Purpose – To service students in need of credit recovery and students identified as at-risk. Mission – • To provide students with an expanded array of options and additional supports. • To promote successful high school completion. • To equip students with the necessary skills for success in education and employment.

  3. Credit Recovery • 11th Grade – Students in need of 6.5 - 8 credits are candidates for CSSCA. • 10th Grade – Student with less than 10 credits are candidates for CSSCA. • 9th Grade – Students with less than 4 credits are candidates for CSSCA. Currently, 74% of CSSCA’s students are scheduled based on this designation.

  4. At-risk • Students struggling with attendance issues. • Students with anxiety or social issues. • Students transitioning back from a placement or charter school. • Students with school phobia or trouble adjusting to a “big school” environment. Currently, 26% of CSSCA’s students are scheduled based on this designation.

  5. Vision A blend of cyber and traditional small group learning opportunities.

  6. CSSCA Roster • 11 CSSCA students spend half of their school day at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT). • 4 CSSCA students spend half of their school day at William Tennent High School.

  7. Pathways to Graduation • 100% (53) of CSSCA’s students are on pace to graduate with their age-appropriate peers if they successfully complete their remaining course work. • 60% (14) of CSSCA’s current 10th and 11th grades students could return to WTHS for the 2014-15 school year if they successfully complete their remaining 2013-14 course work. • Two (13th year) students have graduated since the onset of the 2013-14 school year.

  8. Student Attendance (Unexcused Absence) Nearly half (23 of 47) of CSSCA’s returning students reduced their frequency of unexcused absence during the first marking period of the 2013-14 school year.

  9. Student Attendance (Unexcused Tardy) All (19) of the students with no change in frequency had no instances of unexcused lateness to school during either the first marking period of the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years.

  10. CSSCA Course Offerings • 193 total courses are being taken by CSSCA’s 53 students. • 38% (74) of CSSCA’s current course offerings are required courses students are taking for credit recovery.
