National Seminar on Developing A Program for the Implementationof the2008 SNA and Supporting Statistics in Turkey 10 September 2013 / Ankara - Turkey GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSION INVENTORY • 2004, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) • 2009, Kyoto Protocol were ratified by Turkey • National greenhouse gas emissions are estimated annually by using the IPCC(IntergovernmentalPanel on Climate Change)Guidelines and Good Practice Guidance (GPG). • National Inventory Report (NIR) and Common Reporting Format Reporter (CRFR) tables have been prepared as a time series starting from 1990 and submitted to UNFCCC Secretariat by TurkStat.

National Seminar on Developing A Program for the Implementationof the2008 SNA and Supporting Statistics in Turkey 10 September 2013 / Ankara - Turkey WATER, WASTEWATER AND WASTE STATISTICS Coverage • All municipalities • All Villages • All health institutions (indicated in annex-1 of Medical Waste Regulation) • All licenced or temporarily licenced waste disposal and recovery facilities, and facilities operated by or on behalf of municipalities even if they are not licenced • Manufacturing industry establishments with 50 or more employees • Thermal power plants ( >100 MW) • All organized industrial regions • All mining establishments
